ISTISNA’A is a contract of sale of specified items to be manufactured or constructed with an obligation on the part of the manufacturer or the builder, to deliver them to the customer upon completion.

Below are the general agreements of a complaint ISTISNA’A contract:

1. 1.Qualitative specifications of the item/AL-MASNOO’ must be specified.
2. 2.Commitment by the manufacturer to produce the item as described.
3. 3.Delivery date is not fixed. The item it deliverable upon completion by the manufacturer.
4. 4.Payment can be made in one lump sum or in installments, and at any time up to or after the time of delivery.
5. 5.Contract is irrevocable after the commencement of manufacture except where delivered goods do not meet the contractual terms.
